Book Creator, Camera, Video capture, Pic Collage, Safari App, Visual Poetry, Pic Play Post, Educreations: take a trip to the seashore and develop an ebook / oceans journal with key facts with video, images, text, drawings and publish to the iBook bookshelf. Make a Pic Collage of different aspects of the seashore ie the intertidal zone export your Pic Collage as a jpeg into your Book Creator Seashore eJournal. Add an audio description of the features of each zone. Capture video at the seashore and enhance your book and interactivity to engage others. Using Explain Everything or Educreations to draw the zones of the seashore and verbally describe different features. Export as video to Book Creator (use pictures you've taken with your camera App and label in "real time"). Use Visual Poetry App to write a poem about the Seashore, add a ocean background and shape to your poem and export to your Book Creator document as a jpeg. Share with others via Dropbox or through Airserver on the big screen.
Camera App and Puzzle Maker App: find an image of an ocean or ocean animal in google image, or take a picture of the ocean on a field trip, snap a picture of it or capture a picture and import into Puzzle Maker App! Instantly an interactive oceans puzzle is made. Exchange iPads and have other students complete the puzzle and identify the subject (ocean, mammal, fish, seashore/intertidal level...)
ITunesU, Pic collage, Book Creator: View a movie clip of choice in iTunesU Jean-Michel Cousteau. Recap what you learned in Book Creator and/or Pic Collage. In Book Creator use video, audio recording, other pictures and text with drawings. Publish to the iBooks Bookshelf and share with other students and your teachers

SymbolSupport and Symbol Support Viewer: text on Oceans at the appropriate level is supported with visuals for emergent readers.
CoWriter with topic dictionaries on Oceans: for students requiring support to enhance written output using targeted word prediction. Export text out to Book Creator (copy/paste from Cowriter) .
3D Timeline: use as a visual as a presentation tool. Import video, images, text to add variety and interest.
Bitsboard Pro: for students with low incidence disabilities, develop a stack of images, audio recording and text labels of various key aspects of the ocean. This App will then offer students 10 different activities using the flashcards produced including memory, true/false, match up, word builder, bingo, reader, spelling bee, photo hunt etc. Fun and oh so easy to use and apply!
